David serves as the Director of Operations and Grants, supporting the development of TreePeople’s various programs. David earned a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from CSU Long Beach and an M.A. in Public Administration from CSU Northridge. He has a background in urban forestry and arboriculture, having implemented tree-planting initiatives across California. Since 2021, David has led the organization’s grant writing for private and public opportunities; fostered partnerships with nonprofits and public agencies; supported the onboarding process for new projects; overseen contract compliance, including financial and environmental; and carried out operational activities, including the forestry department’s GIS processes.
